Eighteen people were killed in shootings at a restaurant and a bowling alley in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday night, sparking a massive search for the suspect. One Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Sage DriveBAKERSFIELD, CA (October 27, 2023) – Wednesday evening, a two-car accident occurred on Wilson Road, resulting in the loss of one victim’s life. The incident took place around 5:13 p.m. in the 6400 block of Wilson Road, near Sage Drive.As of now, the circumstances leading to the collision remain unclear. However, initial reports indicate that emergency responders discovered one of the drivers involved in the accident suffering from severe injuries. Due to the extent of their condition, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.The second driver remained present and fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation. Preliminary investigations by police do not suggest that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Rosamunde Sausage Grill, a long-running San Francisco institution that sold sausage and beer in various locations, will be closing next month. In a post on Instagram, the sausage shop announced that it would be closing its location at Mission and 24th streets on Nov. 21."Although we are sad to say goodbye to the neighborhood, we feel fortunate to have served such a wide and diverse community," the restaurant said on Instagram. Daniel Serafini, the former Major League Baseball player accused in the killing of his father-in-law and attempted killing of his mother-in-law at a Lake Tahoe-area house in 2021, has been extradited from Nevada to California, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office. The agency posted a video on X/Twitter on Friday afternoon that shows a small aircraft landing and Serafini, in shackles, being escorted from the plane to a vehicle.
